This month, we are trying to use what we have. We have a pantry full of stuff. Aside from wanting to use up our stash, we are trying to trying to pay down some our our debt, as well as save up for the holidays.

I have made a menu plan through the month of October and we have plenty to last that long. We may not have the healthiest, or most exciting plan each day/week, however we will be saving tons of money by using what we already have! We may purchase milk, bread, wraps, and fresh fruit, however otherwise, we are golden.

  3. I think I'm going to follow your lead and empty out the pantry this month. We may be eating things like, Pb& J w/ black eyed peas but we've got hundereds of dollars in the pantry of uneaten food. Do you have any suggestions on how to eliminate this problem??

  4. Hello All! Thanks for stopping by!

As far as suggestions, here is where I started:
    1. Don't get stuck on what "goes" together. There are going to be some meals that are just fine, but don't "mesh". We have some meals that will end up being "canned fruit, lunch meat, and rice.... sounds terrible, however still gives us what we need!
    2. Give yourself permission to by certain things. We decided to still "allow" to purchase milk, bread, wraps, and fresh fruit if needed (though only if on sale and really needed).
    3. Make at least a week's plan. I went ahead and made the entire month worth. It allowed me to plan what leftovers we could used for lunches, and where to make extra x to use for the next day!

Good luck! Let me know how it works for you!
