Week in the life 2011 - Finished!

This is my first year completing the Week In the Life Project!  It was fun, yet challenging. I didn't have as many photos as I wanted, didn't journal much (though what I did do is a huge improvement from most of my memory keeping), and didn't purchase the official template, however I am very proud of what I did do and how it turned out!

I am also doing the One Little Word Project and the 52 weeks Photo Challenge. All of these projects are going in the same Memory Keepers Binder as a way to document my 2011.

I used Ali Edwards Week In the Life Journal Cards Vol 2 and Heart Days of the Week from Designer Digitals.

After doing this project, I'm totally in love with the Nine 3.5 x 2.625 Inch Photo Sleeves. They are amazing and would even look great in my 12x12 albums that I typically work with!

I ended up with only a few photos on Wednesday, and most of them horizontal. Thus I used 2 pockets for one photo... a couple times, on this page!

Due to how I organized each day, I ended up with a random page at the end. I decided to use it to do more journaling. I love the result!

Did you participate in Week in the Life project? Would you ever consider it? I LOVE how it captures the simplicity of the week. Each project like this continues to make my heart ache for my 365 project. I must do it again...

  1. Coodos to you for finishing your WITL album...woo hoo! I'm still working on mine...it is a lot more work than I thought as well and my biggest adjustment was figuring out which pictures to print and the pages to use. I bought the Memories pages for their 4x6 photos and boy did they require a lot of cuts! Really like how you used the 9-slot pages by cutting your photos in half...ingenious! I could have saved myself a lot of dough if I had done my pages that way...oh well! Live and learn. I also did not use the 8 1/2 x 11 templates because I don't know photoshop...so instead I used publisher and made my title and daily pages and was very happy with the final result and will do it again in the future. Great job and glad to have another newbie on this journey. Fondly, Roberta

  3. Congrats on completing A Day in the Life! I've wanted to do that, but haven't gotten to that one yet. I am also participating in Ali's One Little Word class. And I got Becky's Project Life for 2011, but have yet been able to make it work for me. I think that might have something to do with not having a way to print photos at home. But, guess what?! YOU have just given me the coolest, most user friendly tip for using the divided (whether 9x12 or 12x12) pocket sheets with the little pockets! I often don't have photos in the right orientation for the pockets and I just LOVE your simple, yet ingenius solution of cutting a horizontal photo in half. Thank you! :>
