My sister is someone that has nearly everything, thus I enjoy giving her unique gifts, often homemade! This year for her birthday, I made about 20 cards (birthday, holiday, anniversary, and thank you), and then decorated a cute little tin to store the cards.
Supply List:
- Tin lunch box from Archivers (it was on clearance!)
- "CARDS" chipboard letters from Provo Craft
- Black cardstock (for covering letters and solid black line)
- Pattern paper from: ? (Now it is all glued down and I can't find what I used! I'm trying to find out!)
- Metal flower embellishments from: All My Memories
- I also used glue dots for the Metal flowers and a tape runner for sticking everything else on!
What do you give the person that has everything? What kind of fun stuff have you made for gifts?
What a cute idea! I would LOVE a gift like that. Your sister is lucky. :)
ReplyDeleteRecently I was in a Valentine card swap (I'll be blogging about that later), and I made homemade Valentine cards for the 2 girls I was paired up with. It was really fun!
That was such a clever and thoughtful gift!
ReplyDeleteIn fact, I might have to steal your idea sometime if I don't know what to give for a gift.
How cute! I have given cards before. I have also made several cross-stitch pieces and framed them for gifts. That was a while ago, though. I have been thinking about starting to do more cards.
ReplyDeleteNext time you want to send such a creative gift to someone you can have my address. I would love to get this!!
ReplyDeleteThat is really cute. I scrapbook, but I'm intimidated to try my hand at cards. I think because with a scrapbook, I have the photo to base what I'm going to do. With a card there is so much blank space! I also never know what to do about envelopes. :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'll put one of these together for a future giveaway! Stay tuned :)
