It is worth a road trip

A couple times a year, I make my way north. 

Now, around these parts, if you here someone say those words they are typically followed by "and I love going to the cabin" or "the lake is amazing". While I would also agree with those statements, I'm not talking about camping, the cabin, or spending quality time at the lake. No sir. I'm talking about making the trip to Crafts Direct in Waite Park, MN.

I used to live in St. Cloud and made frequent trips. I was out of adhesive, go to Crafts Direct. I needed new travel paper, go to crafts direct. Glue, stickers, candles, yarn, stamps, ink, flowers, wedding supplies... the list goes on and on. It was quite dangerous living a mere 10 minutes away.

Now, I'm closer to 90 minutes away. I still visit the area to see friends and always try to stop in the craft store too!

My first stop is always the "clearance center". Yes, an entire space just for their clearance items! There are always little treasures. You have likely seen them here before as they are here and there around our home!

A few of the things that caught my eye this time (though I'll not disclose what all I purchased!)

All "U" and "V". I wanted to get these, but couldn't think of anything to justify it! :) 

(Note to self: Name child or pet something that begins with a "U" or "V". These letters are always in the clearance bin!)

I then made my way to the main store. This basket of thread caught my eye. I really do not sew, however tried desperately hard to figure out what I would do with them. This is one thing I wish I would have grabbed, but didn't.

I LOVE the colors in these pieces of wall art!  These would go perfectly with our house color scheme. However sticking to my budget, I kept moving.

Wanted to get more key caps (since last time I only allowed myself 2), however didn't find quite the ones I was looking for.

And this cute little space to pick up a cup of coffee! Yep. That is right! Among the ladies hanging out, I also noticed some bored looking husbands too! However I should point out that though Alan isn't really a huge fan of Crafts Direct, he typically finds something interesting to look at when he goes with.

It is always a fun place to check out. While my favorite part is the clearance store, I enjoy it all! I do several types of crafts and it is nice to go to one place that has such a vast variety of items!
